Who We Are
Eastside Christian Church began with the conviction that somebody should launch a church on the Eastside of Orlando and over the last six years has grown into a community of people who have experienced God is so many ways.
The last few years have afforded us an incredible opportunity to watch God work in the lives of our church and throughout the community we have the privilege to serve.
We are more convinced than ever that God is drawing people to himself through his church and we would love to invite you to join us on this incredible journey as the story and impact of Eastside Christian Church is just beginning!
Mission
Eastside exists to lead others to experience immeasurably more by inviting them to exchange the common for the holy. In other words, we exist to help you experience God for yourself!
Values
Our values have been shaped through the many ways we have experienced God’s power and provision in our lives and through his church. These core convictions shape the way we live out our faith and ministry through Eastside Christian Church.
We exchange the common for the holy when we…
…lean in (Joshua 3:5; James 4:8).
…take action (Joshua 3:8; Matthew 14:29, 25:14-30).
…expect miracles (Joshua 3:17; Matthew 14:29).
…live open-handed lives (Acts 2:45-46).
…cultivate restorative community (John 17:20-23).
…reflect all the glory to God (Ephesians 3:21).
Beliefs
We are an independent Christian Church, not beholden to a denomination but belonging to a movement of churches called the Restoration Movement. While God is more marvelous and magnificent than we could ever fully comprehend or communicate, he reveals himself, in part through his Word and the person of Jesus. Therefore, we believe “in essentials, unity; in opinions, liberty; in all things love.”
God exists in three persons, God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. He is more marvelous than we could ever comprehend but he created us to know him and live in relationship with him.
We sin when we fall short of God’s perfect mark. While our sin separates us from God it compels us to draw near to Jesus in order to restore our relationship through his grace.
The Bible is God’s perfect word that invites us to know and understand the God who created us, his plan for redemption through the gospel message of Jesus.
The gospel, the good news that Jesus died and rose again, offers salvation to all who will believe in him through confession, repentance, baptism and a lifetime of faithfulness.
Holiness is never achieved by adhering to a strict set of religious regulations but becoming more and more like Jesus as we walk closer and closer with him.
Prayer is God’s invitation to communicate with our Creator.
The Church is the body of believers. We accomplish far more when everyone contributes in their calling.
Serving with excellence brings glory and honor to the God who created us.
