Eastside Christian Church launched with a vision to transform the spiritual landscape of the city of Orlando. Follow the timeline below to see how God has been building his church.

Summer 2017

A simple summer vacation created an opportunity for God to call Adam and Karissa Parks to plant a church. At the time they had no idea where or how but were confident that God was calling them to do something special. As they came home from vacation they leaned in to direction and clarity.

January 2018

Through prayer and fasting, coaching and countless conversations God clarified the call to plant a church in Orlando. At the time, Orlando was among the fastest growing cities in the country and one of the most unchurched cities in the country. As the city’s footprint was growing, God’s footprint in the city was shrinking.

May 2018

God continued to clarify his call. Instead of simply planting a church, his vision was to plant a church that would plant a family of independent but interconnected churches to transform the spiritual landscape of the city of Orlando. Eastside Christian Church was incorporated.

Summer 2019

We hosted a series of vision nights across the city to begin sharing the vision for Eastside. A small core team began meeting on Sunday evenings to worship, pray, plan and prepare for the launch of this new church.

Fall 2019

Community groups began gathering around the city to continue praying, planning and preparing for a movement from God.

January 19, 2020

A core team of about thirty five people launched Eastside Christian Church at Deerwood Elementary School on the Eastside of Orlando.

March 2020

Eastside grew every week for the first ten weeks, reaching more than one hundred in weekly attendance. As a church we celebrated our first two baptisms in March of 2020. The

March 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic forced us to cancel worship gatherings after ten weeks, moving everything online for the next six months.

October 2020

While school campuses remained closed we began regathering on the campus of a local Presbyterian Church. Once again, over the course of the next several months, God began rebuilding his church. We reached more than one hundred in weekly attendance and celebrated more baptisms.

June 2021

Asked to leave the Presbyterian Church with only three weeks notice Eastside once again relocated, this time to Legacy Middle School where we currently host weekly worship gatherings. God has been faithful to build his church each week. We have celebrated both numerical and spiritual growth, multiplying community groups and baptizing new believers.

God has been at work to build his church. For nearly two years he has been laying a solid foundation. Would you consider contributing so we can share all that God is doing with our community?
